Wow, it’s been a while since I updated this blog. Sorry about that–I moved in the summer, and have been spending time with some of the stuff that comes up whenever you go through a significant life change. Oh, yeah, and I’ve been doing a lot of work–along with the rest of the team–on getting APEX 5.0 cleaned up.
Speaking of which, you’ve probably already heard the news out of the Open World conference–APEX 5 will go through a third early adopter phase. We’ve made some significant progress since EA 2 was released, but we’re not far enough along to go full production at this point. The packaged applications all need to be converted over to the new universal theme, for instance; we’ve started on that work, but there are over 2,000 pages that we’ll need to go through. That’s…a little more than an hour or two’s work, you know?
I did have fun at Open World, and got to meet a lot of people who use APEX. If I met you there and that brought you to this blog, welcome!
In upcoming conference news, I’ll be presenting at the East Coast Oracle Users Conference in early November. If you’re going to be in the area, come on by. My presentation will be on the Hidden Gems of APEX.
